Thanks for the review! We've got your feature request on our list and will consider it for a future update.Located in the Bartle Library Information Commons, the Recording Studio (LS-1544)

I’d also like a few things like shortcuts for saving your favorite or most frequently used Plugins. Basically, I’d like to save Audio Input/Output settings and have a simple popup to switch to those settings. My only “complaint" is a feature request: an option for storing sound device IO configurations when using this wtih multi-channel audio interfaces.
#Sound studio professional
If you do any kind of professional level sound work, this is more than worth the $30. I can usually open up something in this and make the edit and re-save it faster than it takes RX to just open!!!Īmadeus may have “more features” but I hate the UI of it and I never use those features. This app is much faster for opening and editing files. I also use iZotope RX6 but that’s usually so much overkill. If you need to edit mono, stereo (I never use it for more than Stereo although I think it will do more tracks).

You use this when you want do do some basic sound editing quickly and when you don’t want to open up RX or PT or such to do your quick edit. It may not do FLAC or auto-split files as one reviewer complained about, but it’s not designed for that. If you do any sound work you need this app. Thanks for the review! As for the iTunes songs, if you have downloaded the songs, you should be able to show the file in Finder from iTunes, and then open the file in Sound Studio. I don’t recall doing anything more than sliding my iTunes on to the Sound Studio app, without redirecting them to my mic-I certainly wouldn’t want to re-record commercially recorded music on a microphone. Possibly an Apple program (or errant app) is prioritizing and nullifying my needs.
#Sound studio update
Lately, or after Apple’s most recent update (possibly no relation to problem), I can’t seem to make Sound Studio see the songs from iTunes that I want to burn (in addition to my spoken commentary from a Blue microphone). And yet the company has lowered its price for an unbeatable value. Sound Studio is definitely not resting on its laurels. In fact, the timer setting could not be more easy to set and convenient to review. One notable feature that’s been added to this edition: Automatic and Timer Recording. Moreover, the audio is professional quality (I use it for NPR broadcasts), and if you’re “into effects,” this program offers as many as Adobe Audacity and other expensive programs. It’s not a complicated program for the audiophile who wishes to edit more than one track and to edit “sound on sound." But for editing a single broadcast, or podcast, or musical file, nothing could be more clear, precise and user-friendly. It may not be as colorful as Roxio’s hyped product, but it permits precise and relatively easy editing of wave patterns. This is definitely a league apart from the more expensive Toast (with included Spin Doctor). + Preserves BWF (Broadcast Wave Format) data in. + Has FM synthesis, sine, triangle, square wave, and noise generators.

+ Split by Markers: lets you split a long file into separate tracks. + Markers: automatically generate markers in silent gaps or in a grid. + Uses 32-bit floating point PCM format internally. + Number of tracks limited only by processor and memory constraints. + Audio recording and playback on up to 2 channels. 3-band, 10-band, and chart-based Graphic EQ.Fade In, Fade Out, and Fade Special (with an envelope).Save in the following standard file formats:

Spoken word, speeches, presentations, music, and other audio can all be recorded and edited with the same high fidelity. Record professional-sounding podcasts, audiobooks, voiceovers, and more.
